Winter Mazes

$1.00

Five winter mazes that get trickier level by level. Trace the road from the sled to the igloo with a finger, then a crayon, then a pencil.

What’s inside

  • 10 pages: five mazes in color (Levels 1–5) and the same five in black and white
  • Level 1, Slide to the Igloo: the shortest road. Level 2, Through the Snow: more turns and dead ends. Level 3, The Frosty Trail: longer, with tighter turns. Level 4, Trek Across the Ice: a winding road with lots of dead ends. Level 5, The Deep Freeze: the longest, trickiest maze
  • A grown-up tip on every page
  • Print the color pages for the first round and the black-and-white pages to repeat or to save ink

Skills it builds

  • Pencil control
  • Visual scanning and planning ahead
  • Eye-hand coordination
  • Pre-writing line practice

How to use

Start with Level 1 and move up when it feels easy. Have your child trace the road with a finger first, then a crayon, then a pencil. Pause at each dead end and ask “should we go back?” to grow planning and self-correction. Try this: A chunky crayon or a do-a-dot marker is easier for cold, mittened-up little hands. Slide a page into a sheet protector to use it again with a dry-erase marker. Prep time: 1 minute.

You’ll need

A crayon, pencil or dry-erase marker. A sheet protector is optional.
