$4.50

A busy little spider, six farmyard friends and one web bin: tweezer, lace, sort, count and craft your way through a whole week of play.

What’s inside

  • 25 pages: a cover, a how-to page for grown-ups, a story page, bin setup, a 6 Ways to Play map, 19 activity pages and OT tips for home
  • Weave the Web, Levels 1–2: lace yarn around a circle, then a spiral
  • Who Wants to Play: tweezer a pom-pom onto each farm friend
  • Farmyard Friends and Match the Shadow cut & paste
  • Catch the Bugs sort, Bugs in the Web cut cards and Finish the Bug Pattern
  • Count the Spider’s Legs, How Many Friends Came and Who Came First (ordinal order)
  • Story Words cut cards, Beginning Sounds match and Dab the Word
  • Spin the Web pre-writing spirals, Levels 1–3, and a Paper Plate Web craft

Skills it builds

  • Pincer grasp and tweezer control
  • Bilateral coordination and lacing
  • Counting, ordinal order and shadow matching
  • Beginning sounds, vocabulary and pre-writing spirals

How to use

Read the little story out loud first, so every page has a character to root for. Line a shallow bin with dark paper for a web backdrop, add mini pom-poms, tweezers and yarn, then slip in the laminated cards. Use one or two pages a day across the week: the same six farm-friend cards reappear in the tweezer match, the cut cards, the count page and the ordinal page. Best for ages 2–6; pre-cut the cards for the youngest hands. Prep time: 10 minutes once.

You’ll need

A shallow bin or tray, kid-safe tweezers or tongs, mini pom-poms or buttons, yarn or a shoelace, a dot marker, child scissors and a glue stick. A laminator is optional.

From a pediatric OT

Made by Ms. Aviv, a licensed pediatric occupational therapist, and used with real kids before it reaches you. Print-ready PDF on US Letter (prints on A4 with “fit to page”).
