Shapes Dab & Color

$3.00

Hunt for shapes, dab them, color them and count them. Three dot-marker shape packets in one download.

What’s inside

  • 3 PDFs in one download: Shapes Dab & Color Packet (10 pages), Dab-a-Dot Shapes Packet (5 pages) and Dab the Shapes (3 pages)
  • Shapes Dab & Color Packet: a cover, a how-to page and eight shape hunts (circles, triangles, squares, stars, hearts, rectangles, ovals and diamonds), each with a “sneaky” look-alike to watch for and a count box
  • Dab-a-Dot Shapes Packet: find and dab the hidden stars, read the key and dab each shape its color, then count and dab each shape
  • Dab the Shapes: a ways-to-play page (cotton swab painting, dot markers and more) and two pages of big shape outlines to fill with dots

Skills it builds

  • Shape recognition and shape words
  • Visual discrimination and scanning
  • Tripod and pincer grasp
  • One-to-one counting
  • Color matching

How to use

Pick one page and name each shape out loud as you dab. Dot markers are the favorite, but a cotton swab cut in half works too (the short stub is too small to fist, so it nudges a neat tripod grasp). Crayons, stickers, pom-poms or fingertip paint also work. Count how many you found and write it in the box. Prep time: 1 minute.

You’ll need

Dot markers, or cotton swabs and paint, crayons or stickers.

Save with a bundle
