Four feelings tools in one download: a feelings chart, the four feelings colors, a monthly feelings jar and ten match-the-feelings worksheets.
What’s inside
- 4 PDFs in one download (17 pages in all)
- Feelings Chart: “How Are You Feeling Today?”, point to the face that shows how you feel (15 feelings)
- My Feelings Colors (2 pages): the four color zones with what to do in each, plus a cut-and-glue sorting page
- A Jar Full of Feelings (4 pages): a how-to page and 28-, 30- and 31-day jars where your child colors one heart a day
- Match the Feelings (10 pages): match words to faces, match the same feeling, match feelings to colors, what could help, how would you feel, what is my body telling me and a cut-and-glue page
Skills it builds
- Feelings vocabulary and recognition
- Linking feelings to the four color zones
- Self-regulation strategies (what could help)
- Pencil control, matching, cutting and gluing
How to use
Post the Feelings Chart and the Feelings Colors where your child can point to them, and practice naming feelings when everyone is calm. Use the jar as a daily check-in: color one heart a day, then look at the whole month together. Work through the matching pages one or two at a time. Laminate the chart and the colors page for everyday use. Prep time: 2 minutes.
You’ll need
Crayons in blue, green, yellow and red, a pencil, scissors and glue.
