How to use

Print the mats you want and laminate them or slide them into sleeves. All the cut-out cards are together at the front of the pack; let your child do the cutting, because that is the fine motor work. Cut out the Feed Me pig, snip open his feed slot and tape him to a bin, an oatmeal container or a tissue box. Bury the cards in your filler. Your child digs one out, finds its match on the mat, marks it with dough or a pom-pom, then feeds the card to the pig. Each mat lists its own age range (2–7). Prep time: 15 minutes once, then play all year.

You’ll need

A shallow bin, a filler, play dough or pom-poms, child scissors, tape, an empty container for the pig and a brass fastener for the spinner. A laminator or sleeves and tongs are optional.
