Every letter, number and shape on one set of reusable mats - trace it with a rope of dough, a fingertip or a dry-erase marker.
What’s inside
- 41 activity pages of reusable mats: letters A-Z, numbers 0-19, and a full shapes and prewriting-lines section
- Letters (13 pages): uppercase and lowercase side by side, with numbered arrows for correct stroke order
- Numbers (10 pages): formation arrows on every numeral 0 to 19, including the teen numbers most packs skip
- Shapes & lines (18 pages): straight lines, bumps, waves, zigzags, loops and spirals; chunky dough-rope mats for circle, oval, square, rectangle, triangle, star, heart, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, crescent, trapezoid and more; plus three trace-it-then-build-it pages with a dashed shape to trace and an open box to build your own
- A how-to page with five ways to use the mats, plus a laminate-and-reuse guide
Skills it builds
- Letter, number and shape formation
- Pencil grasp and fine motor strength
- Prewriting strokes and directionality
How to use
Print and laminate the mats (or slip them into sheet protectors). Roll thin dough ropes along each path, trace with a finger first, or use a dry-erase marker and wipe clean. If tracing is brand new, start with the shape and line mats - straight lines, curves and crosses come before letters. Prep time: 3 minutes.
You’ll need
Playdough, or a dry-erase marker, pom-poms or Wikki Stix. Laminator or sheet protectors optional.
From a pediatric OT
Made by Ms. Aviv, a licensed pediatric occupational therapist, and used with real kids before it reaches you. Print-ready PDF on US Letter (prints on A4 with “fit to page”).
